Euromed Ireland Logistics Ltd provides handling, storage, post-production services and distribution services for new vehicles from their facility in Ringaskiddy Deep Water Berth in the Port of Cork. As a subsidiary of Grimaldi Lines with the ability to handle up-to 60,000 vehicles per annum. EMIL plays a principle role in connecting Cork with mainland Europe through the Euro-Med service line.
The company has an exciting opportunity as they are currently looking to recruit part-time casual workers for their busy period. This will be on an on-call basis, dependant on shipping schedules. Candidates need to be fully flexible with working hours, night shift and weekend work is required.
The duty of the driver is to be driven onto the vessel in the Port of Cork (Ringaskiddy) where he/she will then drive off units (cars/vans) to the Euromed compound in a safe and professional manner.
€9.75 Standard Hourly Rate (will go up in January):     Â
Day Shift – Monday – Friday  08:00-18:30 Standard Rate
Evening Time After 18:30-24:00Â Â Time & half
Evening/Unsociable Hours  Monday – Friday Midnight-08:00   Double Time
Saturdays – 08:00- midnight   First 8 hours: Time & Half; Remainder: Double
Sunday / Bank holidays- Double Hourly Rate
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Valid Full Driving License

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The administrator’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following;
- Receive inbound calls and emails from current and new customers/companies.
- Responsible for the administration process from booking through to certification and registration into the OPITO Vantage system and CMS.
- Responsible for classroom/facility bookings for scheduled and bespoke course bookings.
- Completion and participation within internal audits on main scheme and commercial courses.
- Responsible for travel templates and organising client accommodation & transfers ahead of courses or board meetings.
- Preparing administration files for instructors before beginning course.
- Put together and deliver course packs where appropriate.
- Prepare scripts/handouts for courses.
- Ensure all relevant communications, records and data are updated and recorded.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry developments and updates.
- Create trust and confidence when building a rapport with customers to effectively close each booking and retain customer loyalty, this includes reception duties for course registration.
- Meet & greet delegates at reception before each course.
- Represent commercial division by ensuring each customer receives a friendly and engaging and efficient experience;
- Compile reports as and when required by the Management Team;
- Work as part of a team supporting colleagues where necessary;
- Report any non-conformances to Management immediately in order to ensure that corrective action is carried out to prevent recurrence and insure continuous improvement.
- Adhere to strict data protection and confidentiality laws;
- Participate in any required training.
- Liaising with both the GTSS Marketing Executive & the Office Manager to support the planning of all commercial courses
- Liaising with Lecturers, instructors to co-ordinate the efficient running of courses.
- Liaising with Finance regarding pricing of courses.
- Liaising with various individuals from companies on course details, numbers, requests etc.
- Liaising with catering staff & process canteen function forms.
- Be responsible for the replenishment of stationary at the NMCIS Ops office and postal duties.
- Fill out purchase requisitions where appropriate & required.
- Completion of CETB forms and liaising with CETB officers as required.
- Any other duties that may be assigned.
Requirements
Essential:
- 3 years relevant administrative experience;
- Good planning, organisational and communication skills;
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills;
- Excellent listening skills and the ability to ask probing questions, understand concerns, and overcome objections;
- Strong work ethic and self-starter, able to effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to change within a fast-paced business environment;
- Must possess a professional and friendly attitude and be able to quickly develop a rapport with customers over the phone;
- Ability to learn and navigate new software quickly.

National Maritime College of Ireland
Opened in October 2004, the National Maritime College of Ireland (NMCI, the College) is a purpose built constituent college of the Cork Institute of Technology, established in a partnership with the Irish Naval Service (INS) and Focus Education Ltd. Located on a ten acre site in Ringaskiddy with direct access to the harbour, the college houses state of the art facilities and equipment including two full mission simulators, jetty, fire fighting and survival training facilities, library, IT and other laboratories. The NMCI caters for the education and training needs of the merchant navy and the non-military training requirements of the Naval Service and provides a broad range of training services for the maritime industry.
Description of the Position
The Simulation Instructor will be a member of the GTSS staff and will carry the responsibility for ensuring that Commercial Simulation is run in a cost effective, efficient and commercially successful manner utilising existing and future resources.
Principal Tasks
- Planning and publishing of commercial simulation course schedule.
- Instruct courses such as STS, RAS, ECDIS and Pilot Training in the NMCI’s bridge simulators and provide necessary delegate feedback to clients afterwards.
- Creation and maintenance of procedures for commercial simulation in line with international best practice and norms.
- Oversee submission of, and ensure currency of, course proposals to relevant authorities.
- Develop and review, in participation with simulation team members as appropriate, commercial simulation courses in line with international best practice and norms.
- Contact prospective clients and discuss course requirements.
- Meet and negotiate with prospective clients for commercial simulation in consultation with management.
- Cost, prepare, and submit tenders to prospective clients in consultation with management.
- Identify, and allocate attendance at, suitable conferences and/or seminars
- Prepare an annual review and plan of commercial simulation activities.
- Manage and review requirements for area databases and hydrodynamic models for commercial simulation.
- Identify, when necessary, expenditure on simulation facilities to enhance commercial course delivery.
- Liaise with Kongsberg for solutions to simulator development.
- Investigate possibilities for developing in house resources and capabilities for commercial simulation.
- Adhere to strict data protection and confidentiality laws.
Requirements
Essential:
Seagoing background (Merchant) with prior command experience essential.
Relevant qualifications for above
Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills.
Desirable:
Teaching / instruction experience in the maritime simulation sector.
Above average IT skills.
A full clean driving license.

Position: Maritime/Offshore Survival and Fire Instructor

Reporting to: Operations Manager- SEFtec NMCI Offshore
Description of the Position
Reporting to the Operations Manager with responsibility for instructing on courses for the Offshore and Maritime sector.
Principal Tasks.
- Delivering STCW and offshore training to the Offshore and Maritime sectors.
- To be suitably qualified in the disciplines required to teach or assess, as per the standards laid down by various accrediting bodies.
- To undertake instructional duties on assigned classes as deemed appropriate by management in both lecture and practical sessions, both at the NMCI and other locations as the management may from time to time reasonably require (e.g. offshore, at clients premises).
- To ensure existing courses are reviewed & updated as necessary, and assist in the development of new courses to meet client’s needs.
- To ensure that safety standards for both staff and delegates are adhered to at all times.
- Maintaining appropriate records and making available information as required by management.
- Participating in the development, implementation and maintenance of quality assurance.
- To liaise with support staff responsible for the delivery of training courses or exercises.
- Work as part of a team to ensure consistent standards of training are maintained
- To comply with the procedures, staff notices and any other communications as issued by management.
- To attend staff development training courses, in-house and external, as determined by line management.
Requirements
Essential:
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years instructional / operational experience in the offshore, maritime, Fire Service, or related sector.
- Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills.
- Experience / knowledge / qualifications in training & education.
- Ability to work in a dynamic multidiscipline environment.
- Water confident.
- Proven track record of ability to contribute to a team effort.
- Dive Qualification.
