Christer Sjodoff Group Vice President of GAC Solutions
Christer Sjodoff, who is the Group Vice President of GAC Solutions, did an interview with Marine BizTV recently. Marine BizTV is a free to air global maritime channel. In the interview Mr Sjodoff talks about the partnership between GTSS and the NMCI. Christer believes that this venture helps both parties deliver world class courses by combining NMCI’s lecturers with GAC’s long established knowledge of the maritime sector. read more…

Yet again we had a very successful BOSIET course running at the NMCI this week. This course, along with our MIST, FOET and HUET are run in conjunction with our new joint venture partners SEFtec Global Training Limited.
We are very proud to announce that all of our delegates successfully completed the BOSIET, which is an offshore course that is designed to provide delegates with a basic knowledge of safety and emergency response procedures for working in offshore environments. read more…

Delegates from Kinsale Energy Limited attended our OPITO Approved Further Offshore Emergency Training (FOET) this week. This course is designed to meet further emergency training requirements for oil and gas industry personnel. SEFtec NMCI Offshore Ltd (SNO), a public / private joint venture between SEFtec Global Training Ltd and The National Maritime College of Ireland (NMCI), was launched on the 17th December 2010 at the National Maritime College, Co. Cork, by the Minister of Enterprise, Trade & Employment, Batt O’Keeffe.

We had Mr John O’Connell who is the Rig manager for West Gemini Seadrill here at The National Maritime College of Ireland recently who completed some OPITO training. John kindly presented SEFtec NMCI Offshore with a model of the new vessel “West Gemini”.
Seadrill is a leading offshore deepwater drilling company, that aims to be their customers’ most important partner in making oil and gas available in a safe and cost-effective manner. read more…
