Helen Jauregui has written an article highlighting the importance of correct maritime training despite the tough economic times. New regulations are making it increasingly difficult to avoid training. She explains the importance of choosing the right training methods and providers. Technology is a factor which will play a large part in future training methods according to Jauregui.
This article looks at the training by the GAC Training & Services Solutions and the NMCI who work together to provide training for maritime staff.

There will be a SEFtec NMCI Offshore sponsored fundraiser for Cobh Juvenile GAA held at the Curraheen Park Greyhound Stadium on the 6th of May.
Mr. Tom Griffin, Head of Offshore Survival Training at the NMCI, launched the new fundraising drive on the 1st of April at Cobh’s Carrignafoy premises to help raise finance for defibrillator units at the club. read more…

This video shows the SEFtec Configurable HUET that we use at the National Maritime College of Ireland. This simulator is used in our OPITO approved Helicopter Underwater Egress Safety Training (HUET) course.
In this video our Head of Offshore Survival Training for SEFtec NMCI Offshore, Tom Griffin can be seen with Ray Johnston our Course Coordinator/Wet Instructor for NMCI Services.
