The National Maritime College of Ireland Commercial Division (NMCIS) in Cork, Ireland are recruiting for two full time instructors due to continued expansion. If you are a team player with a positive, proactive, can do attitude and have relevant experience we would like to hear from you. Ideally the following experience would be required:
- The suitable candidate will have a marine background having sailed at sea on either merchant or naval vessels.
- A good working knowledge of ships and life at sea is required.
- Courses will range from PSSR right through to BOSIET delivery.
- Must be able to take leadership and instruct both in the field and in classrooms.
- Knowledge of STCW and OPITO standards is an advantage.

OSCC is the only annual, global event focused entirely on safety and competency in oil and gas. We are pleased to announce NMCI Services are offering a scheduled STCW A-VI/6 (6) Designated Security Duties course on Friday, December 12th at the National Maritime College of Ireland.
It is intended that those attending this course will be serving seafarers that are likely to be designated with security duties in connection with the Ship Security Plan. Serving seafarers in this case would be currently serving at sea, or persons who would have their qualifications other than security training ‘in-date’. All interested parties must produce proof of seatime, by way of Discharge Book/Seaman’s Book. Declarations of Sea Service will not be accepted.
- Venue: National Maritime College of Ireland, Ringaskiddy, Cork
- Time: All course participants must report to the NMCI reception no later than 08.45am on Friday 12th. Course will start at 0900hrs and finish at 1700hrs.
- Cost pp: €220
